What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra®, Belladerm’s newest injectable, is used to combat lines and wrinkles, giving your skin the smoother, fuller, and more youthful appearance you desire. This beautifying treatment contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which works with your body to stimulate the production of collagen.
Authorized for use in Europe in 1999 as a facial filler, Sculptra® received FDA approval in 2009 and is now available in more than 40 countries worldwide. The PLLA biodegradable polymer has been safely used in medical settings for decades, often as dissolvable sutures or for soft-tissue implants.
After a series of treatments with Sculptra®, you’ll experience enhanced volume for restored structure and younger-looking skin. Results are gradual and can last up to two years.
Which areas of the face does Sculptra treat?
At Belladerm MedSpa, Sculptra® is used to treat areas of the face that are prone to volume loss. Treatable areas include, but are not limited to:

How many Sculptra treatments will I need?
Sculptra® requires a series of treatments that are administered 4-6 weeks apart. It comes in vials, and the number of vials needed varies by each individual patient. Usually, our Nurse Injectors will do 2-3 vials per treatment. At Belladerm MedSpa, we require a consultation prior to treatment. During your initial
consultation, we will complete a facial evaluation and comprise a customized treatment plan.
When will I see my results?
Sculptra® is a gradual procedure, so results improve over time. Because changes take place over time, you’ll see progressive results in the reduction of facial wrinkles and folds by comparing images taken before treatment with images taken in the months following your final treatment. The beauty of
