How to Find Your ME Time

You already know how important it is to carve out time for yourself. While it recharges your batteries and puts life in perspective, it is also a boost for both mental and physical health. Did you know THAT? Admittedly, a lot of us don’t always know how to claim a little me time–maybe because we think we need a full day or weekend alone to really relax. But even a short, simple break can go a long way towards refreshing you. Let these ideas inspire your just-for-me moments and help you to find a slot in your day to claim for your own!
- Take 5 minutes to journal and reflect on the emotional aspects of your life
- Enjoy a short soak in a hot tub or warm bath, preferably with soothing music in the background
- Cuddle with your pet
- Sip some tea and flip through a magazine
- Take a power nap (catnaps are most renewing if you take them between 1 and 3 p.m.)
- Play the piano, guitar, or any other instrument you love
- Do some simple stretches or yoga
- Curl up with your favorite book
