The MN State Fair comes at a bittersweet time, with the end of the summer here and back to school creeping up on us. While the weather and routines may be changing the family fun tradition remains the same. Since 1854, the MN State Fair never disappoints! Here are a few reasons to go to the the fair this year!
Crazy Yummy New Food
From crazy new food concoctions, to spectacular rides and attractions there is always something to enjoy at the MN State Fair! The food has always been one of  the biggest attractions, as people are curious to see what else they can possibly deep fry or put on a stick.  This year you will discover a new spin on corn. Yep, forget the plan buttered kind, how about cheesy nacho corn on the cob? And for the sweet lover in the family there’s the chocolate popover with peanut butter spread.  These are just two new foods at the fair. New Attractions
One of the most note worthy new attractions at the MN State fair is the Great Big Wheel! The Great Big Wheel is the tallest traveling ferris wheel in North America. It  will carry riders 15 stories high into the sky for breathtaking views of the State Fairgrounds and beyond the Twin Cities. Furthermore, the 156-foot-tall Great Big Wheel boasts 36 enclosed gondolas, each carrying six people and a spectacular lighting display of a half million LED lights.  In addition, it costs $5 per rider.
